Our meetings are aimed at encouraging both members and non members to use computers for their own Family History - they are open to all - and beginners are welcome. The main topic for the evening starts at 8 p.m. but we are there from 7 p.m. for general chat, helping to solve individual problems or demonstrating techniques such as data transfer or programs of interest to minorities. If you are a beginner and need advice or don't know where to start - don't be too shy to ask - we all had to start somewhere - and like genealogy its a continuous learning process. If you would like some help of this kind, or a specific demo, please contact the group organizer - Chris Willis - well beforehand to ensure the appropriate software will be available. Unless otherwise stated - meetings are held on the first Wednesday of each month at St.Mary's Church, Ash Vale Road, Ash Vale. (see foot of this page for how to finding us ). As the main topic starts promptly at 20:00 - please allow time to park - book in - have a chat and to be seated. |
