This image has been shrunk from 1600x1200 pixels to fit this page - and
demonstrates the low light capability of the A40.
This picture (and that on the previous page) was the first time I had used the A40 for this type of subject - so was something of an experiment. The picture was taken about 21:00 in January in a room having dark walls - and a single tungsten light.

Although picture enhancement is beyond the scope of this review - this bottom
image has been included to illustrate that sufficient information is recorded
by the A40 to allow enhancement without losing the integrity of the original
image.
This basic enhancement was done in two stages:

Original A40 image file Exif header - time is GMT regardless of where or
daylight
saving.
Subtract 5 hours from time stamp to correct to Florida time. |
